With its geographical position,natural beauties and rich cultural and sport activities, Banjaluka is one of the cities which have realistic possibilities for quality organization of carnival happenigs, within FECC.
Regarding all elements necessery for organizing one project like that we have decided that The First Internation Carneval in Banjaluka will be held 13th -15th June 2008.
The concept of the Carnival is next:
First day-13th June
Reception,gatering,accomodation and socialising of participants of the Carneval on next Carneval activites:
1. Carneval procession with more than 1000 kids from Banjaluka and other cities,in the morning.
2. Festival of Majorettes with majorettes from Bosnia and other countries.
Second day-Saturday 14th June
Morning socialising of participants of the Carneval on next Carneval activites:
- Carnival Festival on which there will be next: folk groups, musicians, singers, artists, dancers, actors from Bosnia, and other countries.
- Mini book fair
- Exibition of photography on the subject: „Banjaluka,my city“
- Film festival
- Exibition of folk handcrafts
- International climbing cup

Third day-15th June
Departure of groups.
You will be informed about all the details of organization and some posible changes,and soon there will be an Invitation for the members of FECC to join the Carneval in Banjaluka

Banjaluka Carnival Mascot
Wood Pigeon
I am the most beautiful and the biggest of all pigeons and at the first sight you can notice my imposingly size.
I live in the woods mostly, in small flocks of four to 6 pairs.
I was named after two white stripes around my neck, which at those older pigeons, form a closed ring with metal suffusion around the neck.
I am a bird of passage; I live around the Europe and usually in larch woods. Sometimes I live in cities so you can see me in the parks of Paris, Berlin, Leipzig, and the most beautiful city in the world, our Banjaluka.
Pigeon is actually a symbol if peace, friendship, love and that is why I was chosen to be the Banjaluka Carnival Mascot.
